About Gala
Gala is a sweet, mild, crisp apple that originated in New Zealand and has become one of the most widely grown apples in the world. The fruit is small to medium with red-orange stripes over a yellow background and a fine, aromatic, honeyed flavor. An early to midseason dessert apple, it is a favorite for snacking and lunchboxes.
