About Monroe
Monroe matures from December 1 to February 15 and is a Guatemalan by West Indian hybrid race avocado with a Type B flower, recommended for home planting. It pairs well with Type A avocados, such as Hass or Reed, for improved pollination and fruit set. In 2010-2011, one Florida grower replaced 120 Dupuis trees with Monroe.
