About Nadir

'Nadir' originated in Homestead, Florida, in the Frank Upchurch grove and was named by W.H. Krome. It was introduced in 1950 as a West Indian type, possibly hybridized with a Guatemalan type, and is a major commercial cultivar in Florida.
