About French Plantain

The French plantain is a true cooking banana of the AAB plantain group, the type grown across West and Central Africa and the Caribbean and eaten cooked rather than raw. Its large, pointed fingers are starchy and delicious, comparable to commercial plantains. The type is resistant to Panama disease.
