About Lacatan

Lacatan is the most popular banana in the Philippine islands, where it is thought to have originated. It is the tallest of the well known Cavendish clones, followed by Robusta, Giant Cavendish, Grand Nain, and Dwarf Cavendish, and is considered the most popular dessert banana in the Philippines. Its fruit has higher beta-carotene content than other banana cultivars.
