About Mysore
Mysore is the most important banana of India, making up a large share of its crop, and a hardy, disease-resistant lady-finger type. The medium, plump, thin-skinned bright-yellow fruit has a pleasant subacid, berry-like flavor. Vigorous and drought-tolerant, it is immune to Panama disease and nearly so to Sigatoka.
