About Bresko
Bresko is a Bejo F1 round red beet sold explicitly as an improved Boro type: same breeder, same market slot, tighter uniformity. Where Boro is the fast all-rounder, Bresko is aimed at growers who need roots that wash clean and hold in storage, and Osborne and Seedway both emphasise smooth skin with deep interior colour and no zoning. The tops are the other half of the pitch, running about 16 inches of vigorous glossy green that is strong enough for bunching. Maturity ratings vary sharply by catalogue and region, from Seedway's 51 days to Territorial's 55 and Osborne's 60, with Bejo classing it medium-late at roughly 109 field days. Territorial's trials also flagged it as unusually vigorous and resistant to leaf miners, a pest that ruins beet greens long before it hurts the root.
