About Gemini
Gemini is an F1 hybrid table beet listed as new for 2026 by Territorial Seed and carried as a commercial fresh-market variety by Seedway of Hall, New York. Unlike the heirlooms it shares a shelf with, it was selected against packing-shed criteria: uniform globe shape, smooth clean skin and well-defined shoulders that survive washing and bunching without scabbing. The pitch that distinguishes it is climate range rather than novelty. Both listings claim it holds root quality across cool conditions and through humid heat waves, which is unusual for a crop that typically goes woody or bolts under summer stress. Seedway rates it mid-to-late maturing with good bolt resistance and semi-upright tops, and lists it for bunching, fresh market and processing. Neither listing names the breeding program behind it.
