About Alapaha

Alapaha is a rabbiteye blueberry (Vaccinium ashei) developed by the University of Georgia and named after the Alapaha River in Georgia. Released in 2001, it was bred in part for flavor, disease resistance, and productivity. It produces medium-sized, firm, flavorful berries that ripen in late May to early June, similar in timing to Climax.
