About Blue Suede

Blue Suede is a southern highbush blueberry bred by University of Georgia plant breeder Scott NeSmith, selected in 2001 at the Georgia Experiment Station in Griffin, Georgia, from a cross of MS-122 and MS-6 made by Mark Ehlenfeldt of USDA-ARS. Patented as PP21222, it was exclusively licensed to McCorkle Nursery. It has sky blue fruit, large flavorful berries, and striking autumn leaf color, giving multi-season landscape appeal.
