Bluegem

Bluegem is a rabbiteye blueberry cultivar developed through breeding work started at Gainesville, Florida in 1950, from about 4000 seedlings that were fruited and evaluated. Tested as Fla. 6-164, it was released in 1970. It was developed for regions with mild winter temperatures such as Florida, and it is described as a mid- to late-season rabbiteye cultivar that is less popular and may be harder to locate today.
