About Nova

Nova is an erect, thornless red raspberry that ripens early season. University of Minnesota Extension rates it extremely cold tolerant, hardy to zone 3, and also heat tolerant, making it suited to high tunnel production. The main crop ripens from late June to early July, extending into early August in Minnesota, with a smaller second flush of berries in fall. Fruit is used fresh, in jams, jellies, baking, freezing, and drying.
