About Ponca

Ponca is a blackberry cultivar released by the University of Arkansas breeding program. It is marketed by growers as one of the sweetest Arkansas-program blackberries. The plants have a shortened-internode architecture that supports healthy growth and an expanded range of production. Ponca is self-fruitful and suited to commercial shipping as well as local-market and home garden production, with potential for a secondary bud crop about 14 to 20 days after the first harvest.
