TCS 06

TCS 06 (Theobroma Corpoica La Suiza 06) is a cacao clone offered by AGROSAVIA with a low, pendulous growth habit. It is self-incompatible; the breeder recommends planting it with TCS 01 or TCS 19 for good production. Under the reported Colombian conditions, flowering begins around 20 months and production around 26 months after field establishment. Large pods, approximately 31 by 10 cm, are mottled red when immature and orange when ripe, averaging 47 seeds. The breeder describes a balanced cocoa profile with citrus, walnut and almond notes. Reported low frosty-pod losses depended on efficient agronomic management and should not be interpreted as immunity or proven Florida performance.
