Crane

Crane is a Chinese chestnut (Castanea mollissima) variety released for propagation by the USDA on February 8, 1963, alongside 'Orrin'. It is recommended for home planting. The oval to round nut ranges from 1 to 3 inches in length, with crisp, meaty, sweet flesh, though not as sweet as American chestnuts.
