About Fatal Attraction
Fatal Attraction is a compact purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea) introduced by the celebrated Dutch garden designer Piet Oudolf, prized for the dramatic contrast between its vivid magenta-pink flowers and near-black wine-red stems. Reaching only about 1.5 to 2 feet tall, it carries two-tiered rays that are held horizontally and never droop, above coarse dark green leaves and orange-bronze seed cones. It blooms long from June to August, makes an excellent cut flower and draws pollinators. A patented cultivar, it is propagated vegetatively rather than from seed.
