PowWow White

PowWow White is a compact, seed-grown purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea) from the PowWow series, bred for tidy, floriferous bedding performance. Only about 18 to 24 inches tall and well-branched, it produces large pure-white flowers to about 4 inches across, their wide overlapping rays framing a golden-yellow to orange cone. It flowers the first year from seed and keeps blooming early to late summer without deadheading, thanks to strong basal branching. Easy in full sun and average well-drained soil, it is a favorite for containers and the front of the border and draws bees and butterflies.
