About Conadria

Conadria is a hybrid Adriatic fig developed by Ira Condit around 1950 at the University of California Citrus Experiment Station in Riverside, California, from a cross of the Adriatic fig with a persistent Capri fig. It was originally developed for drying rather than fresh eating. University of Georgia Extension lists it as fairly well adapted to the Georgia Piedmont and as one of the two best fig varieties for areas south of the Fall Line, along with Celeste.
