About Green Ischia
Green Ischia, also known as Verte, ripens around the same time as LSU Purple, making it suited to USDA zones 7 to 8. University of Georgia Extension describes its fruit as bright green and medium sized, good for fresh use and good for preserving, though the seeds are considered objectionable. Fruit develops on second-year wood.
