Conquistador

Conquistador is a purple, multipurpose hybrid bunch grape released by the University of Florida in 1983 by J.A. Mortensen. It is a self-fertile cultivar with Vitis aestivalis and Concord parentage, recommended for red wine, juice, jelly, u-pick, fresh market, and home garden use. It requires grafting onto Tampa or Dog Ridge rootstocks for satisfactory growth and yields, and has been grown in Florida cold hardiness zones 8b to 9b.
