About Dixie
Dixie originated from a cross of Topsail (Latham x Burgaw) and NC 28-193 (Lucida x Wallace) made by C.F. Williams (USDA-NCSU) in 1953. It is recommended for pick-your-own vineyards for its eye appeal and good fresh fruit quality, and is also suited to dooryard plantings where fungicide sprays can be applied between bloom and harvest.
