About Doreen
Doreen was released in 1982 by W. Nesbitt and D. Carroll of North Carolina State University along with J. Overcash, C. Hedgwood, and B. Stojanovic of Mississippi State University. It was released because it can make wine equal to that of Carlos and has greater disease resistance. It is not patented and is reported to be one of the best cultivars for juice production.
