Florida Onyx

Florida Onyx was developed under the grape breeding program of the Center for Viticulture and Small Fruit Research at Florida A&M University (FAMU) in Tallahassee, Florida, bred for the fresh fruit grape industry in Florida and the Southeastern United States and for wine-making. Its patent application was granted in 2020. It produces a very large, deep black-red berry with pistillate (female) flowers that require pollinators to set fruit.
