About Lake Emerald
Lake Emerald is a bunch grape variety with greenish fruit grown in Middle and South Georgia. Resistance to Pierce's disease has been the major selection criterion for this variety, and it is considered the best bunch grape for juice and jelly production. Ripe grapes should be picked from the vines and stored at 40 degrees F if not processed into jellies, jams, or wine.
