About Noble
Released in 1973 by W. Nesbitt, D. Carroll, and V. Underwood of the North Carolina Agricultural Experiment Station. Selected from the cross 'Thomas' x 'Tarheel' for its potential as a high-yielding wine and juice grape. It is the leading black-skinned muscadine cultivar used for red wine and juice production, and is a highly productive, vigorous, self-fertile vine bred in North Carolina.
