Ontario

Ontario is a white grape hybrid (breeding no. New York 95) crossed in 1908 at the Vine Breeding Institute of Cornell University in Geneva, New York, through the Grapevine Breeding and Genetics Program. It resulted from a cross between Winchell and Moore's Diamond. Grown in Area 1, it produces green-to-amber fruit and is early to medium-maturing and high-yielding. The variety is used as a table grape and for grape juice and jelly production.
