Barbie Pink

Barbie Pink, sometimes called Homestead, is a well-regarded pink-fleshed guava valued for its exceptionally sweet, aromatic fruit. It bears medium to large round guavas with thin skin and deep pink, fragrant flesh that is soft and juicy when ripe. The cultivar is popular among Florida growers and home gardeners for fresh eating and processing into juice and jam. Trees are productive and can fruit more than once a year in warm, frost-free conditions. Barbie Pink is prized for its strong perfume and dessert-quality sweetness, giving it a loyal following. Its vigorous growth and heavy cropping suit it to subtropical permaculture orchards and backyard food-forest plantings.
