Xu Zhou

Xu Zhou is a traditional Chinese jujube variety originating from the Xuzhou region of Jiangsu Province, China, an area with a long history of jujube cultivation. It is considered a standard, well-established cultivar rather than a modern breeding selection, valued as a baseline representative of classic Chinese jujube flavor and structure. As an import, it is reported to produce well at a young age and in wet climates. The fruit is small, ripens late, and is used fresh.
