About Vera
Vera is a tall, traditional English lavender often regarded as the classic true lavender from which many others descend, valued for its strong fragrance and abundant essential oil. It grows larger than compact types, reaching two to three feet, with long stems and grey-green foliage bearing pale lavender-blue flowers. Its size and high oil content have made it a favorite for oil distillation, dried bunches, and fragrant hedging. Vera is hardy, drought tolerant, and highly attractive to bees, thriving in full sun and lean, sharply drained soil.
