About Mandarina
Mandarina is a lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) selection whose leaves carry a mandarin-orange scent and flavor rather than a straight lemon note, making a particularly fragrant, calming herbal tea and a good flavoring for soups, salads and fish. It forms a bushy but lower, more spreading and trailing clump about 30 to 65 cm tall of medium-to-light green foliage, with small white flowers from late spring into summer. The trailing habit makes it useful as a spiller in hanging baskets and raised beds or as a fragrant ground cover. It is grown from seed and, like all lemon balm, is easy and bee-friendly.
