About Bartow

Bartow is a loquat cultivar identified by the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension as one of the varieties, along with Advance, Fletcher Red, Hardee, Champagne, Thales, and Wolfe, that perform well in the southeastern United States. Like other loquats grown in the region, it is an evergreen tree bearing fruit that is sweet with a mild plum-like flavor, flowering at the ends of the stems in fall and winter with fruit ripening in spring.
