About Fletcher Red

Fletcher Red is a loquat cultivar identified as one of the varieties, along with Advance, Bartow, Hardee, Champagne, Thales, and Wolfe, that perform well in the southeastern United States. As with other loquats grown in the region, it is a self-fruitful evergreen tree whose fruit sets in fall and matures in spring. The succulent, tangy flesh is white, yellow, or orange and ranges from sweet to subacid or acid depending on the cultivar.
