Thales

Thales is a loquat cultivar recommended for the southeastern United States, along with Advance, Bartow, Fletcher Red, Hardee, Champagne, and Wolfe. Grown in subtropical, citrus-producing areas, it is a self-compatible evergreen tree, though cross pollination by another cultivar, seedling, or selection improves fruit set, size, and production. Its fruit is pear-shaped with a sweet, good flavor, blooming in fall and early winter and harvested in spring.
