About Tattoo Boysenberry

Tattoo Boysenberry is a Catharanthus roseus cultivar from PanAmerican Seed, designated PAS1665813 and introduced in its 2027 range. Its flowers blend purple and red around a white centre. The breeder describes well-branched, upright, mounded plants reaching 10-14 inches (25-36 cm) tall and 6-8 inches (15-20 cm) wide, flowering from late spring through summer. A sunny position is recommended, with strong performance reported in hot conditions. Warm temperatures and moderate light give the clearest colour contrast; greater heat and light lighten the blooms, while cooler, dimmer conditions make them darker and more purple. Commercial scheduling is five weeks for plugs followed by five to six weeks from transplant to finish, rather than a harvest-maturity interval.
