Z-2

'Z-2' is one of the best-known abiu selections, from Queensland. The peel is smooth, tough, and pale to bright yellow when ripe, growing green before turning bright yellow, and encloses white, sweet, translucent flesh with a flavor described as butterscotch caramel. Fruit take 100 to 130 days to develop from flowering, and seedling trees usually begin fruit production 3 to 4 years after planting; yields range up to 400 lbs (182 kg) per year.
