Moroccan Mint

Moroccan Mint is a refined cultivar of spearmint, Mentha spicata, celebrated as the classic mint for traditional Moroccan mint tea. It has a clean, bright, intensely sweet spearmint flavor with crisp aromatics and very low bitterness, which is why it is the preferred mint for steeping with green tea and sugar. The upright plants grow 1 to 2 feet tall with vivid green, deeply veined pointed leaves and slender pale-lilac flower spikes. Like other spearmints it spreads by runners and is best contained.
