About Carolea

Carolea is an Italian olive cultivar, cold hardy and not self-fertile, requiring pollinizers such as Ascolano, Maurino, or Picholine. It produces large olives (about 5 grams) with a black, lucid color and a good pulp-to-pit ratio, harvested from November as a variety with delayed maturation. It is a dual-purpose olive used for both oil and table, with medium-high yield of 20 to 25 percent.
