About Moraiolo
Moraiolo is an Italian olive cultivar from Umbria, cold sensitive and not self-fertile, requiring pollinizers such as Maurino or Pendolino; it cannot be pollinated by another Moraiolo tree. Fruit is small, round-shaped, with a striking black-purple skin color when ripe. It is primarily used for olive oil, often blended with other cultivars to obtain PDO and PGI oils.
