Big Bluestem

Big Bluestem is a papaya hybrid developed by Stambaugh, who crossed a type called 'Purplestem' (later renamed 'Bluestem') with 'Norton'. The resulting hybrid yielded fruit weighing about 10 lb (4.5 kg).
