SunUp

SunUp is a genetically engineered, red-fleshed papaya developed from the Hawaiian cultivar Sunset. Released commercially in May 1998, it was selected for resistance to papaya ringspot virus. It is the inbred parent used with Kapoho to produce Rainbow; these are distinct cultivars.
