About CIM-Atishrestha
CIM-Atishrestha is a patchouli variety developed through mutation breeding by CSIR-CIMAP for southern India, from the clone designated CIM-P22. Its registration report describes dry leaf yields of 4.00 to 4.80 tonnes per hectare per harvest. In a 30 kg dry-weight sample, the reported oil content was 2.20 to 2.60% and patchouli alcohol content was 35 to 40%; these figures describe the report's extraction conditions rather than guaranteed garden performance.
