CIM-Shrestha

CIM-Shrestha is a patchouli cultivar developed by CSIR-CIMAP. Reported as CIM-shreshtha in a shaded field trial at Bengaluru, India, it grew taller and wider than Johore and produced 29.25% more herbage and 43.28% more essential oil. Oil quality did not differ between the cultivars in that trial. These comparisons describe performance under the trial conditions, rather than guaranteed yields in other climates.
