GulfAtlas

'GulfAtlas' is a 2014 release from the joint UF, UGA, and USDA-ARS stone fruit breeding program. It was selected and propagated in 2003 as AP03-22 at Attapulgus. It produces an attractive, sweet-tasting, yellow, non-melting flesh fruit intended for the fresh fruit market, and is expected to produce fruit with tree-ripened taste while retaining firmness for longer shelf life than fruit from conventional melting-flesh cultivars.
