About Gulfcrest
Gulfcrest is a 2004 release from the joint breeding program of the University of Florida, the University of Georgia, and the USDA-ARS, developed alongside Gulfking, Gulfcrimson, and Gulfprince by Dr. T. G. Beckman and colleagues for moderate chill areas such as the Gulf coasts. It is a recommended peach variety with a chill requirement of low chill, under 600 hours.
