About Oconee
Oconee pecan was developed from a controlled cross of Schley and Barton by the USDA pecan breeding program and chosen for release in 1989. It is recommended for Georgia. Oconee features an attractive mix of large nut size and high kernel quality and is an excellent sheller, producing a large percentage of intact halves.
