About Costata

Costata is a Japanese persimmon (Diospyros kaki) that is astringent until fully ripe, then sweet, and keeps very well in storage. In Florida it ripens late, in October and November. The tree has high cold hardiness and is described as a tree of great vigor that is regularly fertile and very productive.
