Killen

Killen is an American persimmon cultivar described by University of Georgia Extension as having good flavor and firm fruit, medium sized and moderately productive. Fruit ripens to a deep pinkish orange and becomes soft when ready, and does not ship or store well, so it should be processed soon after harvest. It is used in persimmon puddings, jellies, jams, fruit butters, pies, candies, and ice creams.
