About Triumph
Triumph is a Japanese persimmon (Diospyros kaki) cultivar associated with Israeli production. Fruit is oblate and faintly four-sided, small to medium in size, with skin from yellowish to dark orange-red; it is seedless or has 5 to 8 seeds, astringent until fully ripe, then sweet, and of high quality. It ripens medium-late, beginning in September and lasting until mid-November in Florida. Commercial Sharon fruit is commonly Triumph persimmon that has undergone postharvest deastringency treatment.
