About Valesca
Valesca is a seedless Philippine mabolo cultivar, first introduced into Florida in 1906. Few cloned varieties are available in Florida; the cultivar bears quality fruit that is usually seedless. Velvet apple is native to the Philippines and also native to eastern and southern Taiwan. The ripe fruit is peeled and eaten fresh, or used in salad or stewed or fried like a vegetable.
