About ICP 9145

ICP 9145 is a long-duration, fusarium-wilt-resistant ICRISAT pigeonpea released in Malawi in 1987, the first wilt-resistant pigeonpea cultivar released in Africa, where it rapidly spread to a large share of the crop. High-yielding and dual-purpose for both grain and green vegetable use, it is well suited to the long-season, rainfed pigeonpea systems of Eastern and Southern Africa.
